AGE 17 - A1 License

At 17 you can complete your A1 training and tests. Once you pass the practical tests at the end of your course you will be able to ride a 125cc bike without L Plates and ride on motorways, you will also be allowed to take a pillion on the back.

You will need a current CBT, if you do not have one you can BOOK ONLINE HERE and theory which you can BOOK HERE.

AGE 19 - A2 License

At 19 You can do the A2 training & tests. Once you pass the practical tests at the end of your course you will be able to ride any bike up to 46.6 BHP, there's no upper engine size, so you will be doing your training on one of our restricted Yamaha MT-07s.

You will need a current CBT, if you do not have one you can BOOK ONLINE HERE and theory which you can BOOK HERE.

AGE 24 and over - DAS

Over 24 - well it's 'full fat for you!' You can complete the Category A training - historically known as DAS. When you pass the tests on the final day, you'll be allowed to ride any size bike you like with no restrictions!

You will need a current CBT, if you do not have one you can BOOK ONLINE HERE and theory which you can BOOK HERE.

LICENCE UPGRADE

Licence Upgrade - so you've had your A2 licence for 2 years or you've turned 24 since passing A2 and want to upgrade to an unrestricted licence. Maybe you've had your A1 licence for 2 years or have turned 19 since passing the A1 and want to upgrade to A2 - well the good news is you're in the right place!

We can take you through your upgrade and tests with our accelerated access course. To upgrade to the next category you do not need a CBT, and if you've held your current licence for 2 years you don't need a theory either.

If you're upgrading because you're now old enough for the next category but have held your current licence for less than 2 years you do need a valid theory.

Amelias journey from zero to hero!

We first met Amelia Wilkinson of Ditchling way back in 2018 when she did her new rider training with us, she moved onto the CBT the following year and booked her A2 with us for the same year. Sadly due to lockdown, we rescheduled Amelia a couple of times, until eventually we were able to resume training as normal again in 2021 when she passed first time round. Having held the A2 licence for a few years, Amelia decided it was time to upgrade to the full DAS and here she is this year with a pass and a smile! Well it certainly has been a journey and Amelia has been very patient, it’s all paid off in the end hey!
